Before my daughter was diagnosed with Rett syndrome the list of hopes, wants and dreams for her was endless.....and it still is. However, all the hopes, wants and dreams have changed a little. Everyday I am busy trying to make sure that she has the chance to experience all the things a "typical" girl is supposed to do and I try to give her everything to make her life the best it can be! Through all this, I realized that the true "giver" here is my daughter. She gives me gifts everyday that only she could give to me to make me truly appreciate the meaning in the "gift". I hope that you will enjoy the year of gifts too.
